Hailing from different regions of the country, The Beatbox House looks to push the boundaries of what is possible with the human voice. Beatboxing has grown into a world wide phenomenon that has branched out from its Hip-Hop roots. The collective looks to rebrand the art form as a part of the new “mouth music” movement.
Each artist that is part of the collective is a soloist, educator and musician in their own right. However, their greatest strength is their ability to work together; bringing their audience an awe inspiring musical experience that will leave a lasting impression no matter age, race or creed.
Kenny Urban has been beatboxing for over half of his life. He has won national competitions in America and has also represented the U.S. overseas in notable worldwide competitions. Apart from teaching private beatbox lessons, Ken has taught Beatbox Workshops in schools ranging from Harvard University to The Raymond York Elementary School.
Former Berklee Drumming Major, Gene Shinozaki went from street performing into international fame as he made his television debut on “So you think you can dance” in 2013. From then on, Shinozaki has taken his beatboxing all over the world, performing in countless countries, and was even awarded the Grand Beatbox Battle Championship title in Basel, Switzerland. Shinozaki is currently ranked amongst the top 8 beatboxers in the world, and is now a co-writer for The Beatbox House.

“It took some doing to get Blakey’s small band arrangements fleshed out for this big band. Ponomarev is an exacting arranger, especially on Blakey’s “No Hay Problema” which the master originally performed on the 1959 soundtrack to the French film Les Liaisons Dangereuses.Valery Ponomarev arrived in New York City in 1973. It was no small feat. Documented in both book (On The Flip Side Of Sound) and film (Trumpeter From Russia), this brave musician will always consider himself a Jazz Messenger.” — Mike Greenblatt on recent CD Review
“This live set by trumpeter Valery Ponomarev’s big band is dedicated to his hero, mentor, and musical father, the great Art Blakely. Drawing largely from Jazz Messengers repertoire and sparked by a solid array of soloists — including special guest and Messengers veteran, tenor saxophonist Benny Golson — this is a most impressive debut recording by one of NYC’s finest large ensembles”. — Bob Bernotas, Jazz Author-Historian-Lecturer

What do you get when you bring together a fiddle, mandolin, banjo, guitar, upright slap bass, rhinestone costumes, hilarious comedy and great classic country, bluegrass, rockabilly and gospel music at a theatre near you…Branson On The Road®!
Branson On The Road has over 20 years of experience of performing at the top theatres in Branson on the famous 76 Country Music Boulevard (known as “The Strip”), and is the first national touring show named for the famous city. The show delivers the Branson traditions of good, clean, family fun wherever they go…and they go all over the US and beyond!
Branson On The Road is the kind of show most people thought was long gone in this day of overproduced music, overused special effects and performers singing to tracks. In the same tradition as the traveling road shows during the glory days of the Grand Ole Opry, the Louisiana Hayride and the first Branson music shows, Branson On The Road keeps you tapping, laughing and smiling.
Those seeing a Branson On The Road show can not only expect great music but plenty of hilarious comedy every step of the way.
Front woman Debbie Horton holds the distinction of being the only woman to have played lead guitar with Johnny Cash. All Branson On The Road shows include a tribute to Johnny Cash with not only songs but also Debbie’s stories about her 20 year relationship with her friend Johnny Cash.
